Abstract:
Tasks and principles of regional geoinformation system of agricultural lands inventory and control construction are described. Detailed description of system development and implementation initial stage consisted of two subsystems – maintenance of Samara region agricultural lands register and agricultural lands condition monitoring is showed. New method of crop detection and crop area calculation by using remote sensing is offered.

Key words:
geoinformation systems, earth remote sensing, image recognition, agricultural crops detection by satellite images, agricultural lands inventory, agricultural lands monitoring.
