Abstract:
It is shown that by means of hollow beams (light "bottles") it is possible to trap transparent spherical microobjects coordinated in radius with the beam radius. A series of experiments on the capture of transparent microobjects in arrays of light "bottles" is described. A criterion for comparison of the optical capture efficiency is introduced. The results of an experiment on capturing non-transparent spherical microparticles in a double light "bottle" are presented.

Key words:
optical bottle beams, Bessel beams, superposition of the beams, binary diffractive optical element, experimental setup.
