Abstract:
A hollow-core Bragg optical fiber structure is optimized using a genetic algorithm with respect to the maximum light reflection from a multilayered shell. A new method and its main findings are briefly summarized.

Key words:
Bragg optical fiber, genetic algorithm, multilayered shell.
