Abstract:
In this paper, we study a loop resonator with a hidden Möbius strip topology (LMR), in which the loop is formed by a twisted strongly elliptical fiber. It is shown that incorporating the Möbius topology into this type of resonator expands its capabilities and enables an increase in the number of types of structured beams whose characteristics can be parametrically controlled with ultra-high efficiency. As an example, it is demonstrated that the LMR can generate frequency combs both for optical vortices and for Laguerre-Gauss modes with a unit azimuthal number in magnitude. The proposed system can serve as a basis for creating fiber lasers that generate structured beams.
