Abstract:
Based on the moments of the second-order intensity, the Stokes parameters for cyclic changes in the states of LG beams with zero topological charge and any radial number were theoretically obtained. These results made it possible to display such cyclic changes in the beam parameters on an analog of the Poincaré sphere. The geometric phases of the beams whose cyclic parameter variations are limited by spherical segments, spherical triangles and spherical rectangles were estimated. A method for measuring the corresponding Stokes parameters was developed and implemented, allowing the state of the beams to be displayed as trajectories on an analog of the Poincaré sphere during the experiment. A comparison of the theory and experiment showed their good agreement.
